2020 was a record year for Afimilk, the fourth conse=utive year of solid growth. This record was accomplished under unusual cir=umstances of a COVID 19 pandemic, that hit all our target markets and affe=ted each of us individually.
We are fortunate to be part the dairy industry that is considered essential industry around the globe. At the end of the first quarter of 2020, when COVID hit the main markets, we realized we must plan for the worst, yet we hoped for the better.
As the year 2020 draws to a close, the COVID-19 pandemic brought major changes in our lives and work.
Afimilk North America is ending 2020 below target. The year was challenged with open positions, yearlong pressure on milk prices, uncertain market conditions.
This past year has been a tough one for all of us, individuals as well as businesses, we surely won’t miss it.
We started 2020 with a very strong pipeline and backlog, and we were very optimistic regarding the coming year.
The Operations Team had a very challenging year in 2020. We coped with Corona virus effects worldwide, while supporting the continuous growth of the company & achieving our financials targets. Indeed, we have many reasons to be proud of our achievements in 2020.
In Afimilk, we like to make every year a record year, and to expand the envelop of our sales, products, and operations. Yet, in 2021 we are in a tipping point of some unusual endeavors that may make it even more special.
In a top-down approach, the first thing that naturally comes to mind is having achieved the original budget in such a challenging year, which leaves us the gratifying feeling of the first goal accomplished.
Against all odds and expectations that’s how I would summarize 2020.
