In a top-down approach, the first thing that naturally comes to mind is having achieved the original budget in such a challenging year, which leaves us the gratifying feeling of the first goal accomplished. Having managed to adapt not only sales meetings, but mainly trainings and support to dealers and customers remotely, is quite remarkable. The fact that it was mandatory, does not imply that the results will be unfailingly satisfactory, however, the team has done a superb job here. On the other hand, being able to build a relationship with each dealer, despite having met them only once pre-pandemic, is an achievement that personally makes me glad, regardless of the ulterior commercial results with each one.
Within our markets, Chile stood out once again. I would also highlight the achievements of our partners in Argentina, one of our biggest markets, where we could see a relevant growth. Not only in sales, but also by hiring new positions dedicated to our product line, showing their expectations for the times to come. They managed to handle their first installations in a very difficult year in terms of on-site support.
A third topic to highlight, is our team´s performance in large projects sales; leaving aside the robotics projects, that was not relevant to this year anyway, I dare to say that there was almost no large business where we have not competed, and even more so, we won most of the few big ones that were confirmed this year. The upgrade in “Lactea” (Peru), the second largest farm in the country; Madero R-100 in Chile, the first ever 100 stalls rotary in South America; and the full project won in Paraguay with all the equipment supplied from Israel, are the main examples to spotlight.
The following picture shows the first AfiCollar installation in LATAM. This was a standalone installation in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with a smooth and successful startup, as can be seen in the customer´s smile. It was the first collars sales in the Region, hopefully the cornerstone for a product on which we have high expectations in the near future.
