Russia Update – by Victoria RivilliS

This past year has been a tough one for all of us, individuals as well as businesses, we surely won’t miss it. We all had to change our personal routines and business modes and get used to the new reality – global lockdowns and restrictions, team meetings via Zoom and Skype, online sales, and even online supervision of installations.

Thanks to the joint efforts of the Afimilk Russian team, sales in the region didn’t decrease and we even reached the sales volumes we set for ourselves in 2020.

We welcomed a new member to the Russian team – Denis Shutov who will represent Afimilk Application support in Russia. Denis has over 16 years of experience. He managed one of the largest agricultural enterprises in the Kirov region, implemented a project for the construction and launch of the largest (at that time) farm in the region for 1,860 dairy cows (total livestock of 3,200). He also has extensive practical experience in process management and SOP implementation. Denis has been working with AfiFarm software since 2010 and is now sharing his knowledge with new and advanced AfiFarm users.

With the help of new online technologies for distance learning, we continued the series of training seminars for AfiFarm users in a new format. The first such seminar took place from 16 to 19 November in St. Petersburg. It was a combination of face-to-face training and a webinar with the involvement of Afimilk teachers from Israel. Denis Shutov was a teacher in the classroom, and Katya Mulyavin and Irena Kaplun were connected from Israel and helped Denis with lecturing and controlling the educational process. We will continue organizing seminars and webinars for different levels of AfiFarm users, from beginners to advanced. That’s part of our work and Afmilk promotion in Russia.

Another member of Afimilk team in Russia, Tatiana, completed an 8-months course on internet-marketing at the end of November. Tatiana’s graduation paper “Using tools of integrated internet marketing for promotion in the B2B segment using Afimilk as the example” was highly appreciated by the certification commission, and from now on Tatiana will be handling Afimilk promotion in the Russian-speaking internet environment with the help of Silvia Fainaro.

In 2020, we also continued our work to control a greater share of the Russian market. This past year, Afimilk Russia together with our dealers upgraded and installed Afimilk management system in 20 existing farms in Russia. The real challenge was the necessity to conduct the supervision of installations online. Gennadi Migdalovich was at his best and stood tall through all the difficulties. As a result, a “pilot” project with online supervision in Penza region was completed, a two-story heavy-duty milking parlor 2×25 parallel was put into operation.

We are looking forward to the new year with optimism and enthusiasm and believe that together we will succeed.
