Afimilk NZ developed a relationship with a new distributor in the market and together we created a new model to bring to the market, an integrated service offer for both Afimilk and farmers alike. 

Headlands is an on-farm consulting company under the parent company Interact. They own a feed manufacturing business and an international agricultural project management arm. They are leading the charge in bringing to the market an expanded model for selling and installing. Then adding value to AfiCollar sales, through ‘wrap-around’ consultancy services and application support to a much deeper level than what a farmer might typically expect and what the competition is providing.

Headlands have farm consultants based nationwide, several who are vets, who have established relationships with their farmer clientele through their existing consultancy services. They will be using the data provided by AfiFarm to deepen their knowledge of farm performance and ultimately individual cow performance. This will enhance their ability to add greater insights into their consulting services already provided. 

Headlands creates the leads, closes sales, and then sets up the installation of the system. They complete the value-added consultancy services on a pre-planned regular basis for the farmer. The key is the one single point of contact for the farmer for all things AfiFarm. The added benefits of regular consultancy services with AfiFarm data allows for greater insight into on-farm performance and decision making. 

This is unique in the New Zealand market. Whilst we are still in the early days, we already secured several sales. In time, it will allow the Afimilk NZ team to move into a more remote operating assistance model for Headlands and their installer network. The future is looking very bright.
