Global Operations – 2020 Summary by Gil Solovey

The Operations Team had a very challenging year in 2020. We coped with Corona virus effects worldwide, while supporting the continuous growth of the company & achieving our financials targets. Indeed, we have many reasons to be proud of our achievements in 2020.

Here is just a short list of them:

  • We managed to keep continuous deliveries to customers during the year, although there were a lot of supply chain, logistics & freight forwarding issues due to corona effect.
  • We supported a ramp up in production and operations activity by increasing our tag sub-contractors’ capacity. On time delivery improved to 99%. Mitigated suppliers’ risk by building dual source suppliers. Our inventory accuracy was more than 99%.
  • Engineering department moved from R&D to Operations. We recruited a new Engineering Manager (Dror Domb). With the advancement of the synergy project and as part of our efforts to prepare for growth, we have decided to reorganize and unify the Engineering & Quality departments to one group reporting to Dror Domb.

We are going to invest in Engineering growth in the coming years.

  • Set and executed a significant cost reduction.
  • Started to build contracts with key suppliers.
  • Built the first 3 robots (synergy) in Sanmina (our Israeli sub-contractor)
  • Launched 2 new products for production – Aficollar (Ionics) and Afipass2 (CBT).
  • Started drop shipments of collars directly from Ionics (Philippines) to customers

 (USA, Korea).

  • Partner’s Portal user transitioned from manual ordering system to online automatic system. More than 150 dealers are placing orders through the Portal (> 90%).
  • Built new technical training materials and programs with many online training sessions.

With all the above behind us, we can look forward to an even more exciting year in 2021. We have set ambitious operations objectives to support the company’s continuous growth and achieve operational excellence.

VP Global Operations
