Even with the challenging environment, working from the beginning of March with little to no travel, we learned to adapt to video conferencing as a method of meeting with dealers, dairyman and each other. We managed 34 web training sessions, that included product sales, hardware technical training, and application to dealers. In total we trained 466 participants online. Additionally, there was an eleven-week dairy farmer web training series that occurred twice a week that was well received by the dairy farm participants.
We signed an agreement with a new Cow Monitoring partner, Micro Technology. A Texas based company with a deep presence on large U.S. dairy farms. Their and our ambition is to transition their current solution over to AfiCollar and AfiTag II. This is a long-term strategic partner for us, and one that we look forward to promoting the Afimilk brand through.
We continued with our growth plans that include new dealers, searching out additional and different market partners that will help us better penetrate the market, and initiatives. We hope that this will help us get closer to our customers who continue to grow and adapt to the ever-changing market conditions.
Yes, 2020 was a challenging year. Through it, we grew as individuals, and as a team. We adapted our approach and routines so that we could continue to support all those that depend on us both professionally and personally.
I believe the famous philosopher and poet, Ralph Waldo Emerson best sums up 2020. My wife Karla hung this quote in a prominent location at home a few years ago. I think it is very fitting.
