Afimilk China successfully marched through 2021 together with the whole team intact. It was quite a big year for Afimilk China.
In China, mega farm customers generally demand that their suppliers conduct business directly with them, which makes the reason that Afimilk China set up a direct sales model even more important.
In 2021, we completed our first year of implementing direct selling, however, our competitors already have a far richer experience on key business accounts compared to us. Still, we succeeded on many big projects during a year that seemed impossible to do so, at the beginning. We had such achievements because we received great teamwork.
Here’s the full story.
In 2021, despite all the competing circumstances, our sales team delivered on the direct selling projects by using their longstanding industry experience and great passion. One such project was the renovation of the BenFang mega farm milking parlor (belonging to YiLi Group). Afimilk’s Headquarter support enabled our sales team to seize this opportunity by supplying 400 milking points to our customer even with a tight global supply chain.
This renovation project was tight on time and heavy on tasks. From the beginning, we were in a race against time and employees’ physical capabilities. The project started in October 2021. We were given only 90 days to renovate 4 parlors. Normally, with such a project, it takes at least 4 to 6 months. Not to mention that we were only allowed to work in between the milking intervals to avoid affecting the farm’s milking process.
We broke down the tasks for each team member before the project started and repeatedly estimated the risk at each stage. Even as well-prepared as we were, we ran into unexpected difficulties once the project started. During those times, we fought together.
Our Technical team withstood tremendous pressure when there was too much uncertainty in the field. The Operations team worked closely with headquarters to ensure goods were delivered before the blizzard weather. Even colleagues from other departments came to the field to help upgrade the equipment when there was a lack of labor. The Application team set up the software and IT networking A.S.A.P. after the construction was accepted. We were aiming to deliver a great customer experience.
Meanwhile, headquarters paid excellent attention to our project. We received strong support from the operation team, the global supply chain, CFO, Sales VP, and the CEO. The success of this project depended not only on the teamwork within China, it also depended on the teamwork of the whole Afimilk company.
Afimilk China is very grateful to have a strong global company and a collaborative team, which makes us more united and courageous to meet new challenges.
More thanks to (in no particular order):
