2021 was the year of “Firsts”

In January 2021 we implemented an initiative to better support our Mega Dairy Customers. Engaging in regular and routine on-farm calls, we worked to support our most important customers, Faria,(TX) and  Morning Star (30,000 collar installations in TX) just to name two.  These calls consisted of routine farm visits every 3 weeks, every 3 months, and as needed for additional touch points. Since implementing this, we are better able to identify issues that cause pain points for the dairy farm and work to solve problems and issues sooner more efficiently.

Repositioning our market touch points as part of our long-term strategic plan, we have added and or filled open key positions to our team.

Chris Lundgren

Business Development (new position)

Chris joined us as our first Business Development Manager and will engage with our U.S. Mega Dairy Farms to promote Afimilk products and solutions. As our dairy farm numbers continue to shrink and our cow population continues to remain steady it is increasingly critical that we build relationships with the dairy producers shaping the future dairy business in the U.S.

Abbi Goldenberg

East Territory Manager (prior open position)

Abbie joined us as the Eastern Territory Manager. Afimilk having functioned several months with this position open, we are thrilled to have Abbi on board with her extensive industry experience, knowledge, and contacts.

Daniel Horton

Application Support (new position)

Daniel joins us as an additional Application Support. He comes to us with extensive dairy farm experience as well as on-farm AfiFarm knowledge.

This now creates a team of 3 Application Support roles and we can already see  the positive impact Daniel is making on our market.

Drew Fries

Software Technical Support (prior open position)

Drew joined our Customer Support Team supporting our dealers and customers with their software technical needs. He has quickly adapted himself into Afimilk and our business. Drew is an excellent contributor to our Customer Success efforts.

Melissa Cacciatore

NA Operations Manager (new position)

Melissa joined us as our first NA Operations Manager. She brings extensive experience and knowledge in operations management and in her new role with Afimilk, Melissa will manage our NA Sales Operations. We believe that having a dedicated Sales Operations Manager within our region will ensure a more agile approach to serving our markets.

We continue to search for additional roles,  Software Technical Support, Hardware Technical Support, and Direct Cow Monitoring Sales.

Our updated “30 @ 25” strategic plan ($30m by 2025) is directed towards closer relationships within the market, specifically Mega Dairy Producers. The strategy calls for additional roles over time such as Business Development and Cow Monitoring Sales. As well as other roles to ensure our business is more secure under our control and directed as a premier technology company in the market.

Market conditions remain volatile with a record 7.9% U.S. inflation, record high fuel prices, and overall economic indicators showing growing signs of recession. Despite this, our business coming into 2022 is so far strong, quoting, and market activity with our dealers and partners continues to be active.

Channel Management continues to be of high importance to our region and increased efforts to secure market partners continues with an emphasis on non-traditional equipment dealers and Stand Alone Cow Monitoring.

Our team continues to grow in strength and we are positioning our business to meet our targets.
